Can anyone recommend a cheap (-$50) optical scope for a Ruger 10/22?

Is the rail that came with the rifle ok to mount on?

Ive had a few thousand rounds through mine with the factory rail, with no problems.

WalMart should have a cheap 4x scope that would work great on your 10/22.

I have a Bushnell 4x rimfire scope on mine. It works great. Nice and clear.

Bushnell sportsman from walmart or the simmons is great for what ya wanna do or they even sell a daisy 3x9x32 which is either a bushnell or tasco and they come with rings mounted on the scope for 30.00 i have one of those on my Marlin 981T tube fed bolt 22, works wonderful and i think it has the 50 yard paralex setting:D

I have a Wally World cheapo 4x12x40 Simmons on mine, I think I paid like $39 for it, mounted on the see-through (meaning "see-under") rings so that I can still use the regular sights.

The only thing that the 10/22 is used for is killing beer cans and endless plinking, so it works out fine.
