What do you folks do to maintain your holsters? I've been using a dry cloth to remove any dust or perspiration and some "neutral" shoe polish when I feel it needs it.

What about the interior? An air compressor to remove dust, dirt and lint? A dry cloth?

If you'd like, my dog will soften it up for you.

most of my leather goods I clean with a wet cloth, and after they dry, treat them with boot oil. Works well for me.

You've got it right already. If you must feel you need to apply something to the leather, use shoe polish in the color of your choice. Saddlesoap probably wouldn't do any harm but go easy with the water.

Never, ever, use neatsfoot oil, grease, lard, bear grease, hog fat, conditioner or any other leather "treatments" unless you are in the market for a nice soft, shapeless leather sock.
