My single Khar experience has been a WWII Model 1911, the details of which can be found here (http://www.thesixgunjournal.net/aoww2.html) for anyone interested.

Their little DAO auto are a beautiful design, which should be exceptionally reliable when well executed. Judging from what I read on a menagerie of gun forums, the same QC gremling haunts these little guns as well. Given the asking price, this is unacceptable to me and the only way I'd buy one is if I could buy it used from a shooter who I knew, trusted, and he or she had no problems with that particular gun in several hundred rounds.
Or, I'd just buy a pre-lock (http://sargesrollcall.blogspot.com/2007/07/note-to-us-gun-manufacturers-no-more.html) J frame Smith and solve the problem on the first try.

Didn't vote, but IMHO the Kahrs I own, a K9 and a T9 are very well made and reliable. My only complaint is that there is no target trigger available. As these guns are made for CCW use, the standard trigger is appropriate. The T9 in particular is a very nice shooter. Reminds me in some ways of the HK P7.

Didn't vote, no good choice for me. MK4043 - no problems ever, shoots well for a short barrel. I just don't like DAO. Was my CCW, now its a Colt Defender.
