My safe hold shotguns, handguns, and a single .22 rifle (10/22). I also reload all my handgun ammo, so I need (want) a good plinker scoped centerfire rifle that fires either 38spl, 357Mag, 9mm, or 45ACP. Just don't want to get into rifle reloading, just yet anyway, especially if I can kill two birds with one stone. I know that Henry makes a lever for .38/357 and 44's. Are there other rifles out there, that are bolt or auto's that use these calibers. My shooting will be out to 100 yards. Thanks for the input.........................ck

Check out the Ruger Deerfield in .44. Fun rifle to shoot and accurate to about 100 yards. I've had a couple. The semi-auto works fine, but I went through two lever actions that I ended up dumping due to constant jams.

There are many replicas of lever action rifles in .45, .44, .357 available. Henry, Rossi, Uberti, Navy arms. There is even a replica colt lightning pump in .45. Happy plinking:)

It's great to have lots of nice options to choose from. You'll love your HENRY if you get one.

I've never used the Beretta, but I do have a .45 HK USC as well as a .45 AR-15. I much prefer the AR-15 in that caliber.

I have a Ruger PC9 carbine in 9mm. Takes the same mags as the P89/95. They are discontinued so new will be hard to find. Used runs around 350-400.00. Nice guns. Available in .40SW too. (PC4)

Marlin Camp Carbines in 9 and .45 are nice, but also discontinued. Takes 1911 or Smith 59 mags.

Have heard good things about the Keltecs in 9mm and 40. Available with Glock, Smith, or Beretta mag setups for interchangeability.

HK makes a .45ACP Carbine that is scarce and pricey. USP compatibility

Beretta Storm in 9mm and 40, PX4 compatibility

Then there are all the lever guns, Marlin, Ruger, Winchester, Puma in the various calibers .44mag, .357, .45Colt. .454Casull. Etc. etc.

Lots of choices. :)

I have a lever action Ruger 96/44 that shoots like a dream. Never had a single jam out of a hundreds of rounds either, but I only use new, good quality ammo too.

Lever-action Rossi Puma 92. I have a pre-safety saddle ring one in .357/38 special. Absolutely love it. Accurate, light, handles like an extension of my arm. The 1892 action is extremely strong, and thus perfectly safe for hot .357 magnum loads like Buffalo Bore.
