manufacture date of colt frontier scout

trying to find out manufacture date of my late fathers colt frontier scout .22. also would like to replace the magnum cylinder that got lost. all i have is the s.n. 24021k.

Colt Started 1966 with serial number 21401 and ended the year on the K Model Scout with Serial number 25155K. Good luck on finding a cylinder, you might try Numrich.

Gun Parts does sell REPLACEMENT (Non-Colt) cylinders..... BUT, these require fitting by a qualified pistolsmith.
They DO NOT "drop in".

Among other checks and adjustments to a new cylinder is head space, end shake, barrel/cylinder gap, barrel/chamber alignment, lock up, and timing.

thanks for the exact year and advice on the cylinder as i told cdrt i will leave the scout as is . like my memory of my DAD. THANKS M.J.M
