Got the 453 Varmint in .17 HMR, and haven't taken it to the range yet, but pulled a bullet from a case today, dumped the powder & fired the primer off in the house, into some blankets, in order to make a snap cap of sorts for it. Lemme tell ya, the *regular* trigger is super sweet itself, let alone the excellent set trigger. I'll report back later with targets from the range. It is sporting a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50mm in Warne rings.

If it's anything like my carbine, you'll be shooting the snot out of it. Love mine.

I have a 453 American in 22 LR. You are right they have a great trigger. You don't have to use a snap cap. They are safe to dry fire. Read your manual.
