They are extinct here. There are only "Beretta" T3s now.

Yeah there are a few local shops around here that still have the Tikka T3's in stock. Going price for them is $690 here, though I haven't paid that for one yet.

Well, no what I mean is, there are Tikkas here - but they aren't called "Tikkas"; they are labeled Beretta.

I knew what you were saying. Here they are still labeled as Tikkas. I have not seen any of them with the Beretta name on them yet. Has the price increased on them with the new name change?

Intersting is that the Beretta website is still listing them as Tikka.

Tikka are excellent rifles especially now that Beretta has taken over. I am a long fan of Beretta and know that the Tikkas are GREAT. Let me tell you that before you go spend $690 at your local gun store you can go on gunbroker.com through Budsgunshop and buy one for $475. I hope that I made the right choice buy getting the new Remington 700 SPS over the Tikka T3. I just found a liitle better results through forums on the 700 SPS.

Yep, the local Gander Mtn. here still has Tikkas labeled and marked as such.

I would imagine (though I am not certain) that Sako is still manufacturing Tikka's and that Beretta has just slapped their name on them,. I know my new Tikka had Beretta on the box but was manufactured by Sako in Finland.

Also, you aren't going to buy the Tikka T3 "Hunter" from Bud's for $450. I paid $530 to get it to my local FFL and then another $15 in FFL fees.

I am a guy who owns Remington, CZ, Ruger, and Savage and I can honestly say that my Tikka's are, in my opinion, a much nicer rifle. Though the CZ is my second favorite and dang near as nice as the Tikka. Remingtons were a nice rifle 20 years ago but they sure don't tickle my fancy now days. Of course these are just my views and everyone else are sure to vary.

JBird- Don't worry about your SPS, it will shoot. I have a 700VLS in .308 and it shoots cloverleafs at 100 yards with a Leupold 3X9X40 and no other modifications.

Haven't bought one in a couple of years. Mine are Tikka's. If the product hasn't been cheapened the Berreta roll stamp wouldn't bother me in the least. Essex
