What's a "Colt .45 ACP Officer's Match"?

I have a Colt Officer's ACP in .45 ACP - a shorty 1911 autoloader.

I also have a Colt Officer's Model Match in .38 Special - a beautifully blued vintage revolver.

I believe it is a Colt custom shop model. It is a 1911 that has two complete barrel/slide assemblies, a shorter Officer's, and a full-sized Match that is basically a Gold Cup slide/barrel. The frame and both slides are marked "OM###", and since it is a 3 digit number, I assume they are probably pretty rare. I have heard there were 250 made (mine is numbered lower than that), but I don't know if that's true.
