It is a brand new year, and I unfortunately did not by a new gun in 2006, but I have developed this uncontrollable itch to buy one. I'm not sure what to get, but i am eyeing up a H&K p2000sk or maybe a small 1911 both look pretty interesting. My question for all of you is what is your next gun going to be?

My next purchase will be a Taurus PT-1911SS when it comes out later this year.

I bought 13 guns last year and the more I buy the less complete my collection becomes oddly. I felt very well rounded when I only had 4 guns. Anyway for autos I'm eyeing a 220 or XD45 this year but I'm cheap and 45 ammo is expensive.

A Walther PP, or perhaps an early PPK. Haven't quite decided yet, but I'm leaning more toward the PP. Might even get another Colt 1903 hammerless .32.

When I get back from BCT/AIT, I want to get an M4-gery, and prolly a SIG P228 two-tone. And a while after that, I want to get a nice HD shotgun, and prolly .357 snubbie wheelgun as a backup. And after that, I have no idea. I think I'll be set for a while. I'm not looking for a big collection, just a well-rounded one for my tastes.

I bought two guns last year: a CZ 85 B and a Norinco 1911-A1. In 2007, I think I'll (hopefully) buy a S&W 1911, a .357 mag revolver (Taurus 66 or Ruger Security Six) and a third one, I don't exactly know which (some small .22 LR…).

I hope to purchase a .380 that would qualify for a C&R FFL. Of course, this limits the field somewhat and makes it challenging to find the right-one..:)

I was fortunate enough that my wife and I were able to get 8 new handguns last year between us (6 mine, 2 hers). That only leaves a few on the current "wishlist":

Me:

Bobcat MP5 clone
P99 AS in 9mm
Maybe a CPO Sig 225

Her:

Only a Glock 19 for now, but we'll see what she finds that she likes.

I am getting my CCL in a few weeks and I am presently looking at either the M&P 9 compact or the Taurus PT145.

I bought a Ruger P90 at the end of last year, around Christmas, so I'm now looking for a compliment for concealed carry.

My next gun comes in Thursday. It is a Colt Special Combat 38 super in two tone. Suppose to be the best Colt makes for now. The next one after that is going to be a Rock Island Longslide 45 acp.

Trapper , I'm sure your going to love that Colt 38 Super. I have a Taurus PT38S that is deadly accurate and a hoot to shoot.
The 38 Super is a hot round and I'm surprised more folks are not into it.
Next handgun for me will probably be a Witness 10mm. It'll be my first 10mm and the gun is going for around 350.00 new so it should make a good addition to the family.
After that I'd like that new Taurus 1911 bit I'm waiting for the stainless version to be released.

Bought a cheapie this year already... an FEG P9R that looks like a bastard 5906 or BHP or something.

I am still looking to get my hands on some guns so I can get a feel for them. I want a hi-cap .45

Para-Ordinance P13 or P14 - If I can find a great price on a frame or whole
Springfield 1911A2 Hi-Cap
XD SS Tactical (the thumb tab feels wrong to me, too high; no man. safety)
Taurus 24/7 Pro SS (nice package, will I get a lemon or "old mags"?)

Not sure when or in which order these will come but here's my current wishlist:

Ruger PC9
Ruger Mini14
Keltec SU16
Savage 111 .243 Win
Ruger GP100 6"

Already in the last two months I've bought two and traded for three so I've gotta slow it down a bit or the wife will shoot me with the next one .

Well, last year we bought two XDs (one XD45Tactical and one XD40Service). This year, I've bought an EAA Witness Elite Match (.38super) then traded in my M4 & XD45Tac on a CZ75 SP01 (9mm) and Dan Wesson Pointman 7 (.45acp). So, I've pretty much used up all my purchasing for this year...unless I could convince the wife to get a revolver (but I doubt it).

My gunsafe is pretty much full, and I bought two firearms last year. The one thing I'd like to get is something (revolver or semi-auto) with the name "Colt" on it. I know this is the semiauto forum, but I'm leaning toward a Diamondback. Maybe a Series 70 1911, however.

Could go either way. Every time I go to a Gun Show I find myself eyeing the Kel-Tec P3AT..."the gun to carry when you can't carry a gun :)"

At yesterday's gun show, though, I was mysteriously drawn to the Springfield EMP. A 9/10 scale model of a 1911 in 9mm. For a cool grand, you'd think it would at least weigh a few ounces less than my Defender... (which may go up for sale to help finance the EMP)

Hey, only three more gun shows this month...all within 30 miles. Have i said "God Bless Texas" lately? :)

Orionengnr, the EMP is awesome! I seen one at a show a few times and had a hard time walking away.

My purchases in 2006 where a bit out of control (for me that is).

Stoeger Condor .12 guage
10/22 Rifle (turning it into a custom tactical rifle)
Buckmark Camper .22
S&W 910S
Taurus 608

My next purchase will be the S&W 642. After that I'm going to cool it for a while. We'll see what the next purchase is.

This is an hard matter, I'm really undecided, there are 3 guns that I really want:

1) a .32 S&W Regulation Police
2) a .32 Colt Hammerless Pocket Auto
3) a .22 auto for rapid fire (I was thinking of a S&W 2206)

Heck, this is an easy question. The hard part is deciding who to "hold up" to get the $$!!! (just kiddin for you humorless government types). Dang, I think I need a raise!

#1) 9MM "beater" gun discussed in an earlier thread.
#2) Single Action .357 or .45 LC for possible deer hunting and/or CAS.
#3) Double-Barrel shotgun for CAS
#4) Lever gun in the same caliber as the SA wheel gun for CAS and/or Deer.

Anyone have a spare $1500 or so laying around that I can use?

either Glock 19 or Gov't size 1911. Probably a 1911, used or low priced (even Mil Spec is cool with me), undecided about .45, 9, or .38 super, I like them all, all have good points. Either .45 or 9mm due to common ammo and selection. Love the .45 in a fullsize 1911, but typing away just once with a Springfield nine made me fall in love with the controllability which is fine with .45 but like a damn .22 in a all steel GM. But, it seems untraditional aand not manly to select a 9mm, always thought it's biggest advantage is the double capacity but here in a single stack (hands too small for hi cap .45 frame guns of any type) you only get a couple rounds more.
BTW, I remember like pre-94, seeing hi cap 1911 magazines-single stack and very extended. Does anyone still make these? Would be great at the range. Any info appreciated. I know these were around back in the 30's for underworld machine pistol conversions of .45's and .38 Supers.

would love to have a Witness, Wonder frame/black slide to have .38 super and 10mm as well as .45 and 9mm, and huge capacity in the 9 and super .38, but kinda got scared away by their rep. Not a huge fan of TDA pistols and CZ derivatives are some of the most uncomfortable for me, but would overlook all that if I could trust the gun, cause of its positives. Good for home defense and maybe competition, even dangerous game defense with the right 10mm load. Their price, European Mfg., and cal. changing ability is really appealing. Are there any smiths out there who specialize in them, I don't mean just making IPSC Raceguns, but who can remedy any problems? From what I have heard EAA won't take care of you.

The Steyr M-9 and Walther P99 QA also up for consideration.or a good cheap used 3rd gen. S&W auto. XD's are kinda interesting too but will probably stick with glock. Would get a Russian Makarov at some point too if the opportunity came up.

Before the pistol though, would like to pick up a cheap AK, Mossy 590 SP, DPMS Panther LW, maybe a .22 pistol too but probably after. I cannot CCW at this time so handguns are of less importance. But would be nice to call a 1911 mine again.

my real wish list would be the DPMS, HK P7M8, and for a SG either Wilson TR-11-87, FN Police Auto or Benelli M1 Super 90. A Buckmark .22 (Camper model), and 10/22 to accurize and add cool accessories, barrel, stock and optics, for fun. for a BUG a Kel Tec 3AT or P32, and the Taurus .38 CIA in blue titanium with pearl and gold, the classy one. I wouldn't really use it.
Would also like to get a couple other carbines or even just lowers before the next AW ban happens.

There's what i want this year and what I'll actual/factual will be getting.
Once i find one in Central Florida, a Stoeger Cougar for sure. i want it in 9mm but I'll take it in 40, and a long weapon. Not sure what, maybe a Hi- point or kel-tec carbine.(Hi-Point carbines are actually fine weapons)

Wish list!!!!
FNP-45 which i have no clue what it's sticker price is gonna be.
Saiga-12 which if i can find one($400 or less) is actually something I'd get over the Hi-point.
If there was a local out door range i'd get a Saiga rifle anything, Only about 300 bucks in .308 or 7.62x39.

I'm with some of the other posters, I don't want to buy I gun I won't shoot. I keep thinking that if I buy too many guns, I won't get to know each of them intimately. The way they feel...the interesting parts of them to look at, etc.

I currently have a .22 Buckmark URX Stainless. One of my first 1007 purchases was a Holosight II and rail for it. The sight should be here in the next few days.

My second 2007 purchase was a complete reloading set, a Lee LoadMaster with all the stuff, tumblers, feeders etc., etc.

My third 2007 purchase was a brand new CZ 75B Stainless. It's with Matt Mink right now getting a full IDPA trigger and sight work. I should get it early next week. I'm going to try IDPA and see if I like it.

For new guns, I want one more 9mm just for range shooting and plinking. I'll decide between a P99 and a CZ P-01 compact. Whichever one I get, I'll probably send it to be hard-chromed.

One outside possibility is a non-1911 .45. Maybe a used Sig P220. That would be it, not only for 2007 for for the forseeable future for me.

I get the willies everytime I see that Taurus Tracker in .17HM2. This, however, is a case of, "what would I do with it?"

Three days ago I purchased a new love....S&W m&p 9mm!! It is light, accuate and kind of sexy in its own right.

My next purchase will be the same gun only the compact model. :)

:D undecided on the next find:rolleyes:

Springfield Stainless TRP. - something I can use for IPSC and get bruised and battered and scratched and still keep going. Starting to get holster marks on my current 1911 and that was a special treat to myself so don't want her to get scuffed up too much.

W-e-e-l-l,

I HAD been in the market for a .45 wadcutter gun for BE shooting, but after getting some one-on-one coaching the other night from a former AF Pistol Team coach, I'm going to delay my .45 purchase and upgrade my .22.

My two current guns-of-choice (for now) are the S&W 41 or Hi Standard 106. My coach recommended the Hi Standard, a Hi-Master shooter I work with suggested I look at the Model 41 too.

Thank goodness neither of them mentioned a Hammerli 208:eek:

All the best,
Rob

I am pretty happy with what I have.

My next purchase will either be a
Colt Defender
or a
Colt CCO (lightweight officer frame with commander barrel) <--This one may take a while

basically, I want a real colt in case no one could tell.

I'm eyeing a Henry Lever Action .22LR or a Glock 19.
