Okay, I went ahead and bought the Helwan 9mm this weekend. I got it for 120.00. Not as a carry gun or anything, just one of those browsing in the store catch your eye wow I think I would like to have that kinda purchases. There is a problem. I shot it today and fell in love with it. I loved the way it feels in my hands shooting it and let me tell you, this thing is accurate for sure. Even with the little military sites. I shot it 2 or 3 times to see where it was hitting and where i needed to hold and after that I commenced to cut 4 straight bullet holes as the distance of 15 yards off the hood of my truck. This thing is gentle shooting. I really like this gun so much that I want a good, new, reliable one. Problem is, I don't think they make them single stack. What are my options?? Thanks
Whitey

I believe the model number was 92 L, Type M. Hard to find though and they have been discontinued for years.

I regret not buying one I saw at a gun show a while ago, but on the Inox the sight blade was the same color as the slide. I want to see on a concealed carry gun.
If only they turned it over to Stoeger.

Yup!!
It's the type "M".
It's been extinct for years!!
It was not that popular.
Troll the gun auction sites or gun shows if you want to find one!!

Many years ago, I bought a Beretta 951 (If memory serves me right.) It was a single stack, and in 9mm. It was a great shooter, but parts were nearly impossible to find for it. As I understand it, the Helwan is a copy of the 951.

Never knew there was a single stack 92.

Rather the 92 was developed from singel stack designs.

The Browning Hi-Power 9mm doesn't have a single stack mag.
"...this thing is accurate...I really like this gun..." Am I missing something? Sounds like Rule Number One to me. It works. Don't fix it.

My dad bought and carried a Beretta 951 when he was in Vietnam. Brought it home with him, too, I can remember shooting it when I was about 9 or 10.

He sold it years ago.:(

S&W M-39 (In my case, M-639) and its variants. Star Model B, Walther
P-38, etc. Until the "Wondernines" of the 1970s the only 9MMs I know of with
double stack magazines were the High Power and MAB P-15.
