i dont remember where i saw this video at..but it was a guy shooting an XD and every few rounds or so it looked like a paint ball round would splatter the target..what is this? and is it just a non lethal paint round or an actual projectile with some sort of tracer..im clueless on this..any thoughts??

It was the target, not the bullets. They become bright green or orange where the bullets hit them. I'm sorry, I don't know how they are called or who makes them (and because of that could not find any pictures), but they are quite useful because it's easier to see if and where you hit.

edit: was it this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x914JFN10m0

Walmart sells those sticker-targets. I don't know what they're called.

They're available in 3 sizes and are adhesive stickers that change color where the bullet impacts. I get them now and then.

It think it's either Shoot-N-See or Orange Peel.

They're called simunitions. They're used for more realistic training (full weight real guns that are modified rather than lighter plastic fake ones). They shoot small paintball cartridges. At least, that's what it sounds like you're talking about.
