I have been searching and searching and searching, both here and in hunting, and cannot find that danged thread.
Anyhoo, myself and others recommended Aguila SSS ammo - but I forgot to mention that they may not work well in a standard 1 in 16" twist .22 - if they keyhole and/or give poor accuracy, that's why. The do work well in my 1 in 9" twist ".22 rifle", as explained here:

So, for the purposes of the OP of that original other thread, on quiet rounds for a regular .22, I'll revise and say Super Colibris, or powerful .177 or .22 air pellet gun; headshots only on either. CCI CB caps (short or long) are the next step up and much louder, but much more powerful; powerful enough for well-placed vitals shots on a raccoon, IMO.
