Simmons ATV on Centerfire?

Will a Simmons ATV 4.5-14x40mm work on a .30-06 or will it be destroyed? I see ATV's used on rimfires all the time, but never seen one on a centerfire?

Just don't want to destroy it...

I put one on my 30-06, same one you you listed. ATV 4.5X14 40mm AO
It came with quad rings, bought it new and mounted it perhaps 6 or 7 years ago. :D
laped the rings first off, never had to move cross hairs for 4 years ..:D
untill I changed my ammunition bullet type.... so destroy it :( not mine
I say mount it and enjoy..... FYI... this is the rifle I hunt with every year ;)
