Hey all, long time, no visit. Been busy and such.

A friend of mine said that Sig once made a 10mm. Being that I love the 10mm round, surely I would know about this. So I'm curious, have they ever produced a 10mm Auto handgun?

I'm not aware of any 10mm SIG-Sauers.

However, the made in USA SIGARMS GSR 1911 could have been chambered for 10mm, and when I interviewed designer Matt McLearn, he mentioned that 10mm was on the "possible" list after demand for the .45 ACP version was satisfied. It is possible that one or more were done experimentally in-house at Exeter, where they are put together, or that one or more might have been done on special order.

I would love to see a 10mm 220. I don't know much about 45-10mm conversions, but couldn't the 220's be rebarrelled and the recoil spring changed. I know of a ParaOrd P-14 that was converted to 10mm.

10mm and .45ACP are different diameters, therefore the breechface of the slide will be different. A .45 would have to be closed in, and a 9mm/.38super would have to be opened up. Probably be the major expense of the project. If the 220 was made in .40SW then barrel/spring would be all that was necessary. Perhaps a 226/228/229 or 239 in 10mm you ask? Their frames are to small to accomodate the length of the 10mm round.
