Browning Hi Power - 9mm mags work in a 40 HP?

I have two 9mm HPs, and CDNN has talked me into getting one of the last 40s. Will my 9mm mags work or will I have to keep adding mags to my collection?

Hello. Several years ago when I owned a .40 Hi Power, I tried the forties in 9mm magazines. Results were "iffy" and using the magazines for the forty-caliber were what resulted in reliable feeding in my experience.
