MIA magazine won't release??

I just bought a m1a loaded syn stock rifle and I can't get the magazine to drop out of the rifle. I tried another magazine and it still didn't work. Is there something I can do?? When I push the magazine release button, I have to pull the magazine free. I have a socom that drops down with ease. Thanks for any input.

None of my M1A's will drop the mag, including my SOCOM, without me pulling on it.

All mine have to be pulled down and rotated forward towards the muzzle. Just the opposite of how you put them in.

if your M1A mags fall out just by pushing the lever, then something is wrong. Like the others have said, you should have to rock the mag away from you, towards the muzzle, in the exact opposite manner you'd use to load a mag into the weapon.

Also, if I were you, I'd take a close look at the SOCOM to see what's up.

Cheap mags can tend to hang up. If a real GI one does not rock out, then you have a problem.
