I currently own glocks i was recently thinking about sending my slide out to have it hard crome for the bi tone looks but at the same time wondering if the finish will be as tough and rust resistant as the factory glock finish as of now my glock is extremely accurate with the factory fixed sights little worried they will be off upon return and there for re adjustments at the range has any one had this process done and would recomend or not

On a Glock slide the Tennifer protection is in the steel. The black over coat is parkerizing or teflon depending on when it was built.
You can have the black stripped off and replace with nickle or Np3 or even the 'spray and bake' epoxiy based finishes you can do yourself.
