So here's the deal, I've got a remington 350 mag thats brand new never fired. It has a 3x9 leupold scope on it. The whole package cost around 1200 new.
Right now the only hand guns I own are glock 40s.

If you were to trade this rifle what would you recommend I trade for. I'm thinking a 1 for 2 deal.

I also shoot IDPA, and NRA shoots.

Give me some recommendations on what make and model you would trade for.
It's been years since I've shot a 45 and have never shot a 9mm.

Remember this thread is not for "which one is better", it's for your opinion.

Thank you!

As in trade to an individual or dealer?

Most dealers will take the book value, take 20 to 30% off that to arrive at the trade in value. Unless the rifle is something you dont see everday.

I am interested in a good competition gun. How does a 45 shoot comparable to a 40? more push and less pop? Is it harder to aquire the target with a 45 while rapid firing?

individual trade. Dealer would be fine but I know what they will give me for a trade and it won't be much.

I'm interested in specifically a 9 and 45.

What type of competition?
Rather a generic question, we will help you, but we need more specifics.

ok..I thought I had posted that in the first post. I appreciate your help.

IDPA is my main concern. March 25th I have an NRA shoot.

I would say since its an IDPA shoot you can find several Companies that make suitable 1911s. Just review the rule book to make sure you get one that is legal.
