Anyone own the M77® Mark II Compact?

Opinions on this gun? I'm thinking of getting the .223 caliber model.

I played around with one in Fairbanks this fall. Pretty sweet rifle and it's a Ruger, you can't go wrong with that.
I would love to get one in 7mm-08, but Ruger isn't making them in a left hand version. I'll just have to build my own on a Chuck Daly/Remington/Zastava action.

Would the recoil or muzzle blast be extreme on a 16" barrel? I'm also looking at the Ruger Sporter model which is 22" and the CZ 527 which is about 21.9". Anyone else?
