Ok guys, I need some gunsmithing advice. I have a Savage 110 in 7mm Remington Magnum, and I am wishing to rebarrel it to a .375 H&H Magnum. The maximum length in my magazine is just under 3.4". My loadbooks show the .375 H&H at 3.6". Now, I know there has to be a way to get this done, because the 110 is the biggest action that Savage makes, surely they wouldn't close themselves to all the long Magnum Cartridges (300 H&H, The big Weatherby Magnums, 8mm magnum, 416 Remington Mag, etc.) So, exactly what do I need to do to gain the extra space in the magazine? What I was thinking was a bigger box, move the extractor further back in the receiver, and shorten the bolt stop to gain a little more throw. Will this work, or is there a different/easier way to do it. Surely somebody has either ideas or experience out there. Thanks Guys,
