I live in South Florida......very HOT, a modicum of clothing.
I presently carry a Colt .38 Det.Spl and a SIG P-232.
I'm in the market for a 9mm.
I've seen (online) the SIG P-228/229, CZ 75 and Beretta 9000.
What are your opinions of these, pro & con.
I'm open to suggestions too!
Thanks!

They are all rather big guns.
How about a Kahr K9 or P9?
Or maybe Glock 19 or 26.

Das Boot:

There are tons of good reliable 9mm pistols on the market. If you can rent a few at a local gun range, try as many as possible and buy the one that fits your hand and style of dress. But don't skimp on reliability. Buy one that is made by a well respected manufacurer. The military and/or police forces around the world use different brand names of pistols, but ones which have been proven to work in combat. I'd do some research and stick to those brands.

Beretta 9000 - fat, stiff safety/decocker that takes much wearing in. Hard to get decent handle on slide as slide is in the frame. Width makes concealment more difficult.

CZ-75 - fine gun. If you get the 'B' model, there is no decocker so you are carrying cocked-and-locked or you are thumbing the hammer down. Grip will be most difficult part to conceal, especially in the hot weather there. I don't like the factory sights, they are too small. Factor that into the cost if you want decent sights.

I would personally go for something smaller, like a Kahr or Rohrbaugh.

Kahr PM9. Only 9mm smaller is a Rohrbaugh. My PM9 is reliable and has a nice DAO trigger.

I'm also in south Florida and Kahr PM9 was my first choice until I shot one, Just didn't fit my hand right. I narrowed selection to Taurus PT-111 Mil Pro., Glock 26 and XD-9 sub-compact. Taurus won.

You have a Sig P232, why not the Sig P239. Sure it's only a single stacker, but it's slim and very dependable. With either a premium 147gr or a 124gr+p round, the 9mm packs a good punch.
