I have a 20 gauge and was wanting to use it to hunt Squirrels but I was wondering if it would rip the Squirrel up to much to be worth it just wondering?

The only time I shot them with a shotgun was in New Jersey where rifles are not allowed.
I would advise using larger shot, because there will be fewer shot and because they have very tough hides.
Aim for the head or even in front of the nose a little. This will put enough shot in the head for a kill and not tear up the body.
I use #5 shot and have shot them with both the 20ga &12ga.

I don't think you'll have a problem, unless you're shooting them 25ft away!

When I was a kid I used to hunt squirrel with a double-barrel 12GA bird gun and 7 1/2 shot....it seems like most shots were 25~50yrds up into the trees....that was a long time ago, though......so my range estimates may be off!
