I imagine you will get very little penetration with those. The light weight cobmined with the huge hollow point may create a serious wound but may fail to reach vitals, especially with over 22% of Americans being clinically obese!
Many people also believe that you need to shoot at least a hundred rounds of whatever defensive ammo you are going to carry in the gun you are going to carry to ensure reliability. If it is too expensive, maybe you should pass on them.

Those are supposed to be the first "smart" bullets, they claim excellent penetration, but not over-penetration and incredible performance on gelatin...

The idea of clinically obese is an interesting one. It changes every ten years. The latest idea rules out weight differences based on the very real difference in skeletal structure, especially of males. It also reduced the ideal weights by nearly 10% over the last findings. Suddenly, an additional 10% of the population qualified as obese, and 10% moved into the morbidly obese group. Amazing what a simple act of the pen can create, isn't it?
Think about this. How many doctors and nurses have you seen that fit into the healthy weight catagory?
Oh, and the Intelligent ammo is supposed to meet the FBI stats in flesh, or maybe 10% gelatin, or was that 20% gelatin? Oh well, I'm sure a jello-junkie can help with that.

Yeah, I qualify as obese. While I am a big guy, I don't carry around much fat. Those definitions are rediculous.

i tryed some of the 45ACP Aguila QI 117gr and they are very explosive on watermelons and 1 gallon milk jugs filled with water. from what iv read though they only penetrate about 8in. i think it would be enough to open up a big wound channel and bleed a BG out quickly. i dont have a source for them other than online, so i carry Reminton 230 JHP, something that i can practice with.
