I took my brother-in-law's CZ to the range to have some fun. Very nice gun... I love it. Anyway, when I got back I stripped it to clean it and noticed that a little chunk of metal was broken away from inside the slide. I'll try to describe it as best I can.

When a round sits in the chamber ready to be fired, imagine the 12 o' clock part of the rear of the case, it's that part of the slide that's broken away. It should be a smooth arc, but instead it has maybe 1/4" of the top of the arc broken off. I'd post a pic but the gun is not with me.

If the description is not clear, let me know and I'll try and find a pic and add arrows or something...

The gun seems to operate just fine and shoots well, but is this a major problem? Is this a common problem? I'm assuming the slide should be replaced, even if just for precaution, right?

thx

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! The top of the line CZ.........BROKEN! Ouch!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry,.....I know Im cruel. Id take a pic of it and email it to CZUSA.
The gun should be fixed under warranty. It sounds like a fatigue fracture or break. Its right above the breech face and isnt a good place to break any gun.
Call CZUSA and see what they say.......800-955-4486 ask for Mike.
Shoot well.
