I have a Kimber 1911 and am planning to buy either a CZ or Witness soon. What I like about the 1911 most is the short reset on it's trigger. This may be a stupid question but here it goes...

Is there any way the trigger in a CZ75 or any of its clones can be set up with a short reset like the 1911?

There are a couple of ways you can setup the CZ trigger...the easiest is the SA trigger with adjustable take up and overtravel from CZUSA. If you want to retain the DA properties of the trigger, the CZ85 has an adj. screw for overtravel. A good trigger job like advised by weshoot is a great idea.

You will never get it like a 1911 trigger unless you want a competition gun.
My SA had very short reset/takeup/overtravel and was set @ 3-3 1/2 #'s.
Its a NICE trigger but its not as short to reset as a 1911.......I dont know its possible.

Shoot well.
