Hey guys. I'm moving to California soon and was wondering if I can purchase a USP Tactical in that state. I've heard that at one point you could, but then because of some bill that was passed, you can no longer purchase them. I guess there were a number of factors, one of them being that it has a threaded barrel...because you never know when you might have to whip out your trusty suppressor...

That is the roster of California approved guns.
I don't see the USP Tactical on it.

Why on earth would you move TO kalifornia? Unless you were going to make it bigtime in show business and therefore be able to flaunt the rules and own a USP Tactical anyway, I don't see enough reasons to want to migrate to that socialist cesspool.

Unfortunately, the company I work for is transfering me out there.

Sounds like a good time for a career change! ;) If you have marketable job skills, Im sure there are companies that would love to have your services in - oh, let's say - Texas, Florida, Vermont or Alaska where the Bill of Rights is still honored.

Of course, you could get your USP Tactical before moving there and "forget" to register it with the powers that be due to all the changes and stress of the new job, new home, the move and all :D . Whatever you do, STOCK UP ON THE 12 ROUND MAGAZINES - you never know when they might "disappear" again.

I just got the full-size USP45 myself, after looking at the Tactical; I would have liked to have the adjustable trigger, but I couldn't abide that monkeybutt ugly front sight and the threaded barrel extension.

The very thought that the Demosocialist politicians in CA have the arrogance to create a "California approved list of firearms" gives me a king-size case of the redass - what's next, a "California approved list of Constitutional PRIVELAGES?" That █████ is an outrage!!

Sigfanatic, the Tactical was never submitted to the DOJ for drop testing because it is not legal for civilians to possess... you have it right, it's the threaded barrel.

I had an Expert (which I sold to someone on this forum) and liked it a lot. Wouldn't have minded the Tactical, but to me the Expert was the California-legal alternative.
