Hello ,
What is the board's general consenus on the Georgia Arms 147 +P, Gold Dot for a defensive 9mm carry round?

Thanks

I've shot alot of it and found it to be accurate, reliable, and low flash.
It recoils less than their 124gr+P version, too.

It's good stuff.I just fired off another 50 rd bag of it yesterday, after zeroing a new set of sights on a G26 with 127+P+ Ranger T.
I wouldn't hesitate to carry it for defense.

No experience with Georgia Arms ammo, but I really like Speers 147 grain Gold Dot. Both are loaded to the same velocities, so I would expect performance to be the same (which IMO is really great).

Man, I just looked at their site, and it looks like they offer some pretty decent stuff, at pretty decent prices. I just don't understand why their .45 stuff sucks so hard. How do you put a +P rating on 230gr slugs that move out at a mere 850fps?

Glock19fan...unless something has changed very recently, the GA load has always had higher velocities than the Speer load...according to my chronograph.
