The other day I shot a Colt Gold Cup with an amazing trigger which got me thinking about modifying my Springfield V-12 1911. However when I got to looking closely at my trigger, I realized that there is a small hole in the trigger to stick a tiny Allen wrench through to turn a screw. Thus my questions is, what does this do? Is it an adjustable trigger (never saw it mentioned in the literature) or a disassembly function?
If it isn't an adjustable trigger as I suspect, anyone have any advise on what kind of trigger to drop in?

It probably is an adjustment for the trigger stop to control overtravel. I noticed my new TRP has the same adjustment, but it has very, very little overtravel as it came from Springfield. From what I've heard, the are usually adjusted to be spot-on from the factory in most cases.
