Im thinking of geting a 22mag 12gauge matched pair and would like to hear what people think of it. Wally world has them for $108 here. Experience's with any of the matched pair is walcome. For me it would mainly be for rabbit, squirrel and the occasional plinking.

Just found out that is the regular price at all WallyMarts. Just have to have them order it.

Does anyone know what they charge for a transfer rate? Or do they charge one at all?

I have a matched pair, youth model, 22 and 410. I put a 2X shotgun scope on the rifle barrel, and at 50 yds I can hit a milk bottle cap on a regular basis. Not a match rifle, but great for what it is. I think my money was well spent on the set. I got mine at Dick's for $99.99 about a year ago.

I have never been a Rossi fan, but the Matched pair 20 gauge and .22LR has been a wonderful first gun for my son...It is easy to change barrels, easy to clean, easy to point, accurate enough (did I say that?) with the .22 and with a recoil pad the recoil is not too bad with light 20 gauge loads. Maybe the best feature and the deciding factor for me was the safety...it can be engaged if the gun is cocked...a good idea if for some reason you cock the gun, but then do not fire.

Now that he has his Remington 870 pump 20 gauge, the Rossi does not see much use, but it was worth the $125 or so I spent on it at the local gun shop.
We have many good memories.

My stepfather has youth Rossi matched pair. It has a 17HMR and 410 barrel. The stocks look synthetic but are black wood which is probably painted.

My dad has a .22/20ga matched pair that he doesn't care much for. Lack of accuracy was his key complaint,IIRC, but then again his usual .22 rifle is an Anschutz.

Can you pick up different barrels for the match pairs (i.e. I bought the .223/20g and may want to pick up a 3rd barrel later)?

there site (http://www.rossiusa.com/main/barrel-program.cfm) "says" that the barrel program will be finished some time this year. if they ever get it up and runing im going to get 22lr, 7.62x39, 357mag/38sp barrel's.

on a side note hows the accuracy of the .223?

I put 30 of 30 onto a 12"x18" target at 50 yrds w/ not the world's most powerful scope, and that was the first time firing a rifle bigger than a .22lr. A better shooter could give you a better report, tho. I'm interested in the 7.62x39, too. Cheaper than another long gun just to shoot paper.
