Are those even what they're called??

I was initially going to get a cheapo bipod for my SKS but then I thought I could just get one of those padded rests I've seen people use so I'd be able to use all my rifles with it.

Is there anything in particular I should look for when buying one? I'm on a budget so looking think on the low-budget end! :p

Cheap? A couple peices of 2x4 nailed together in an "X" with a scrap leather saddle. Ohhhhhhh, you want style too? Gonna cost a few pennies more ;)

THESE (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=454745) look decent.

I second the Caldwell choice from fastforty.

If your on a budget (who's not today) you may want to look at a nice set of sandbags.

I have the identical bags only licensed by Winchester. You can fill them yourself with everything from ---what else--sand  ---to nylon balls from hobby/craft supply shops. Mine came filled with the nylon balls.
