Looks like a euro version of the Sig Pro2022 to me.

Nope, too many differences
2022
7.4" vs 7.1 in P250
5.7" height vs 5.3"
1.4" vs 1.3"
30.2oz vs 22.6 oz

Just wonder where I can buy a 250? Anybody?

No, this thing is Glockorific, not at all like a Sigpro.

I don't think they are out for anyone to have yet shot them. But if anyone has, they've probably posted about it on Sigforum.com.

Do a search in the Sig Forum. There's a lot of info there,

Last I heard we were going to request one for T&E from the SIG rep. I'm interested in seeing how they did the very short trigger reset for the shots following the initial DAO trigger stroke.

One of the reasons I've always preferred the S&W (and now Walther) TDA designs was the incredibly short trigger reset into SA mode after the initial DA trigger stroke. Just based upon what the SIG literature states, this new SIG might have achieved something which would offer a similar advantage when it comes to intentional follow-up shots (versus the 'didn't-get-my-finger-far-enough-off-the-trigger-during-recoil' unintentional shots  ).

It'll be interesting to see how it handles and shoots ... and what they mean by the full-size SA/DA (not DA/SA?) to follow ...

This developmental competitiveness, especially for apparent L/E & military interest, in the pistol development field is becoming downright interesting.;)

Sounds like they are referring to Glock type trigger function, rather than DA/SA. Despite being billed as DAO, Glock triggers reset much closer than most SA triggers.

The SIG-sauer 250 is NOT like Glock, it is a hammer-fired DAO pistol
see http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg119-e.htm last image - the semi-cocked hammer is clearly visible
I will try to check again at IWA, but IIRC they just made it like conventional DA, but with automatic decock when the trigger is completely released... But i might be wrong this time.

Plus they say the 250 is supposed to be coming in .45 sometime in the future. That's what I am interested in from them...that and a polymer framed X-5 P226 with night sights, a light, rail and Nitrolon finish for under a grand.

1. Where in the world can I get 1. The Sauer-Waffen site says they are available now.
2. Any word as to when the subcompact version will be coming out?
Thanks MoW.

Max,

I didn't mean that it didn't have a hammer, I meant that the hammer and trigger function like the Glock in where it resets and how much spring pressure it has.

A striker is just a hammer that moves in a straight line, after all.

just curious:No, this thing is Glockorific, not at all like a Sigpro.

Is this a good thing or bad IYO?

I like DA/SA better than the modified, lightened DAs popularized by Glock. I think DA/SA is safer, but still completely practical.
