Desert Eagle .50 used....good price?

$900 at a local gun store. Looks to be in good shape although I haven't handled it, just looked through the glass. Looks to be matte black. This will be a "novelty" piece for me as I already have my Sig P229 .40 cal. I was tossing up between the D.E. and a Kimber Custom TLE for my next gun. I want your opinions please. Thanks.

You can get a new 50cal Desert Eagle with the black finish for about $175.00 more. The only way I would pay $900.00 for used Desert Eagle is if it was in 99% condition, had no finish wear, had all the items that a brand new would have.

Yeah that gun better be in near perfect condition. You can get one at the gun club I belong to which basically charges full retail for $1,025 in the black finish. Mine has the nickel finish it went for $1,300. With that said the DE is a blast to shoot, it is now my second favorite fun gun next to my Bushmaster, it used to be my favorite tough.

Saw a 50 gold that sold for $800 like nib. They don't move well at all.

Well, most people don't want a sissy gun. Thats all Magnum Research did when they put the gold finish on the Desert Eagle.

seems a little high, if that is the asking price get them down to 800.00 and if its nice go for it . you want shoot it much but is cool to pull out at the range or shoot when your bored. . the ammo is pricey. i got the 357 model. still for 625.00 and was in perfect shape. to me its one of the got to own pistols.
