My first handgun when i turned 21 was a 5 1/2" Ruger bull barrel MKII. It is about the only handgun I haven't sold or traded in my years. I was excited about the new MKIII...until I saw the ad in the Jan American Rifleman.
I like the new sights, the 1911-style mag release, and the Weaver style scope base. :)
But I can do without the Loaded Chamber Indicator, Internal Lock, and Magazine Disconnect. I prefer mental safety to all these mechanical safeties. :barf:
Sigh! Guess I'll just have to make do with my old .22. :D
