red dot scopes

I have 2 red dot scopes. 1 is a 30mm and the other is a 50mm. I also have a Marline camp 9 rifle and a Mossberg 590 12 ga. shotgun. I would like to know if anybody has any suggestions on which scope should go on which gun and why.

Im no pro, and dont even have much experience with red dots but it seems the 50mm will give you a bigger sight picture, typically more valuable on a strutting tom :) The 30mm with a smaller picture might not be as critical on the rifle.

What size dots are they? I would put what ever has the smaller dot on the rifle, the larger dot on the shotgun. If they are the same it's up to you. A smaller dot will be more precise at distance thats why I would put it on the rifle. Mark
