I was cruising around some online vendors and found this:

http://www.southernohiogun.com/ammunition.html

If you go about half way down the page there is some military surplus ammo listed at 7.49 per 50 round box. They say it is WWII vintage stuff and you can get the 600 round sealed tin (12 boxes) for $75. You have to call to get the price. Anyone have comments on this stuff? Seems really cheap, but stuff that old worries me a bit as far as corrosion. I normally clean the day after a range session and don't want this stuff to ruin anything I shoot it through, whether it's mine or someone elses gun.

It's corrosive. It's 50 years old. If this doesn't bother you then go for it. :)

These jokers are listing 7.62x54R ammunition listed as corrosive everywhere else as non-corrosive. That's definately not kosher.

I guess if I were a collector of some sort I'd go for it. Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna pass.
