Gold Dot 9mm 124gr +P 6 or 8 petals

Do you know if the latest bullets have six or eight petals?

I asked this on another forum and we can't come up with the same story.

The new Gold Dot bullet design can be identified by the six serrations around the rim of the hollowpoint cavity. The old design was 8. Also, the new design uses nickel plated cases. ;)

I concur, the new design is 6 cuts, the old is 8.
