I just shot a bunch of Wolf ammo through my Mini-14. It functioned fine. However, when I went to clean the rifle, I had tiny red specks of laquer everywhere. After cleaning the rifle, alot of the specks are still there.

Does anyone have tips on how to get this off?

You can remove anything that is made of plastic and blast the action with gun scrubber/carb cleaner. Or, you can just ignore it if it is not causing any functioning problems. If you blast it, be sure to relube everything afterwards.

Careful with the carb cleaner. It's nasty. I recommend brake cleaner instead, it's the same thing as Gun Scrubber, but much cheaper.

where are the red specks located? Could it be the primer sealer rather than lacquer? Wolf lacquer is brown. -Whatever it is, you'll stillhave to scrub.

You are right. It is primer sealer. How do you get rid of this stuff?

I have used an old toothbrush before and it worked fine.
