I think you're making a wise choice. I bought my PT940 on a whim, when I wanted to support Taurus for not signing the agreement when S&W did. I almost sold the thing - I had put about 25 rounds thru it after I bought it & then put it away. I dragged it out when $$ was tight, figuring I would turn it into cash as I never shot it. But..I figured I might as well shoot up the 2 boxes of ammo I had....

Well, I fell in love with it. It is accurate, shoots pretty much any cheap ammo I load the clip with, and makes a good OWB carry gun during the winter when wearing a jacket.
