How bad is the trigger pull on the standard non-pistol grip Saiga?

It ISNT bad.I'm not sure where you heard it was, but both of mine have nice triggers.

I heard on another board that the pull was long and you didn't know when it would break. This was from a single post.

It's reasonably light, but long and a bit odd.

It shouldn't prevent you from shooting the gun well. If you can't get used to it, I believe Red Star Arms makes an aftermarket trigger which is an improvement over the standard.

If you are talking about the non pistol grip models, the 762X39 triggers are not too much different than the pistol grip models. If you are talking about the 308 non pistol grip versions, the trigger is long but smooth, and it takes a while to get used to where it will break. The 308 uses a longer receiver and a different trigger assembly that has to be pulled up and back where the 762X39 version, just pulls straight back.

Just got Saiga a 7.62 by 39 and a .308. The triggers are differently shaped and differently placed within the guard. I find the .308 trigger very good and much better than the one on the 7.62. But I do not want to overgeneralize from one example of each.
