After reading about the Milt Sparks VersaMax 2 holster, I had to get one.

It is ALL THAT.......and the bag 'o chips.

No doubt about it. For carrying a full sized or Commander sized 1911, I've not found anything better.

This is my Commander in it. My GC rides just as nicely.

I lucked out and bought this holster from a fellow forumite, so I didn't have to wait.

I have a few myself. You buy a Sparks first and you won't end up with a box of holsters.

I had a Summer Special for another gun a few years back. It was OK, but I wasn't overly excited about it.

I think what MAKES the VM2 is having the belt loops away from the gun. They don't add any girth and they really distribute the weight. My full sized, all steel 1911's feel much lighter in this holster than any other I've tried.

I doubt I'll use the kydex clips. The belt loops on my sturdy 1 1/2 inch belt make a rock solid platform. The gun does NOT shift around at all.

It's almost too bad......I just picked up a High Noon, Down Under for my Commander. It is a real nice holster, but it can't compare to the VM2. :D
