Ready to get something with my handgun this year!

Finally got everything in place after many months of saving my pennies and searching for deals.

Just put a 2.5 x 30 scope on my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter .44. I can't wait for deer season this year. Less than 3 weeks left.

I bet bagging a deer with a handgun is twice as fullfilling as getting one with a rifle.

Indeed, a very fulfilling experience. I also hunt with a SBH .44, although mine is not the Hunter model, and dosen't wear a scope. It had been a goal of mine for years to get a deer with my handgun, with my own handloads. I've been able to scratch that off my "to do" list (twice so far). It's something I will always remember, and hope I get to do again, and again.
My advice, if you're interested; practice until you are confident, then only take a shot that you are confident you can make.
