Just curious, whatever happened to the .50 BMG uppers for AR15's that were a topic of duscussion earlier this year?

I'd never want to shoot one (too much gun for the arthritis) but it seemed like a fascinating concept, an upper that converted an AR 15 to a single shot T-rex rifle. Has anyone tested them out or even been shooting them in competition?

There are 3 different designs out. One is made by Watson's Weapon's www.watsonsweapons.com the second is made by Spider Firearms www.ferret50.com and the other is made by ALRS. I don't know the website for them but you could do a search on them (Advanced Long Range Systems) if you want to see one.

The recoil is about the same as a 12ga, the maker of the Ferret50 designed his to have interchangable barrels. I have shot the Ferret and the accuracy was pretty good, the owner put 8-10 shots into a 2" group at 100 yards with Mil. Surp.
