Next month I’m moving in with some relatives for a period of time and due to the presence of children I am being forced to store my firearms one of the outbuildings located on the farm.
This building is very secure with regards to theft but my concern is the weather! It gets very cold (below freezing) in the winter and then there is the dampness inside this building itself.
1)What are the ill effects of such an environment on the firearms and scopes?
2)What measures should I take to protect them?
