A pawn shop in my area is getting rid of their firearms. I was looking for a 1911. They have a colt 1991 all black for 450.00, and a G21c for 500.00. As said I was looking for a 1911, but that Glock really caught my eye. I have read alot of testimonies on TFL for G21. Is that G21c a good price?? How about the Colt. Anyone know about these newer models. The price seems good on the colt.
Help. Im a gunaholic and need another fix! Which one first. As it will be my last firearm for a long time(just had a son). Thanks

From a pure price perspective, the Colt sounds like a decent deal depending upon condition. I'd pass on the Glock @ $500 though.

The Glock will work. The 1911 may work. I'd get a new non ported Glock and save some $$ that $500 seems high.

Sorry I forgot to mention Both guns are brand new. This was a pawn shop/ gunstore. Thanks for the replies, does that change your mind??

Offer $800 for both. Keep the one you like best. For me, that would be the Colt.

Oh, brand new...? That's different.

M1991-A1s have very sweet personalities, and Glocks are ... Glocks.

You can probably still get a good deal if they're closing out, but I'd haggle.... :D

I'd take a Colt 91A1 over a Glock 21 every day.

You've got a GREAT chance at getting a good pistol, if you choose the Glock 21. With the Colt, its hit or miss (quality control recently is disapointing). My Colt 1911 (which I sold) was the classic jam-o-matic that couldn't group to POA. Colt 1911's can be good, but they also can be terrible out of the box. I'd vote for Glock--better consistency from gun to gun IMO.

Pretty good price on either gun. Since you were looking for a 1911, get the Colt and call it a day ;) Don't really like ported 45's. To me, it just seemed counter productive since the round isn't building enough pressure to utilize the porting.
