View Full Version : Removing Maadi AK buttstock

Anyone removed the stock from one of these rifles? There is a screw on the topside, and what looks like some brass pins thru the stock/rec. - I'm wondering how you get them out and if it will go back on one removed?

Stamped AK receivers usually have two screws from the top securing the buttstock.

One is at the rear of the tang, the other is under the recoil spring detent deally.

The pins are probably just reinforcements.

Some of those buttstocks are incredibly tight, while others are only snug. It should go back together fine.
