Are wooden AK pistol grips still available? If so, then will they fit on an Egyptian Maadi?

Yes wooden stock kits are still available for pre-89 AK style rifles. Look in Shotgun news. However if your Maadi came with a thumbhole stock then simply installing a pistol grip is in violation of 922(r)and caould get you 10 years. The gun must have less than 10 imported parts in order to be allowed 1 evil feature(aka pistol grip. Soupbowl enerprises makes a US pistol grip kit for around $150 I have one on my Maadi and it is good quality walnut, not balsa wood like normal AK furniture.
Hope this helps
