Hello,

This is my first post on this great forum. I have been reading your posts for the last few months and finally decided to join.

The reason I am posting on the semi-auto forum is that I read it almost exclusively.

A quick intro:

I am a police officer and I carry a Glock 22 for work on duty and a Glock 27 for under cover/off-duty.

I also own a Colt 1991A1 which is my only non-work gun. Well, actually I also have a Ruger SP101 but it is for my wife since she does not care for semi-autos.

I have shot many different handguns and I do like the Glock the best. However, after just starting to shoot my Colt, I must admit that it is a close second.

I have owned Ruger semi-autos and liked them a lot but they are just not in the same class as Glock, Sig Sauer and H&K for example.

Well, enough for now.

Oh, and they each have sub-forums where other LEO's can get together.

Thank you all for the kind welcome...I think I am going to like it here.:)

Along with being a patrol officer at the moment I am also one of the department's three firearms instructors which I really enjoy.

Our department is very liberal with regards to firearms so we can carry pretty much anything in 9mm, 40S&W and .45ACP. We also have one .38 Special left.

We also shoot a lot...two range dates per month for most of us and a third for the ERU (SWAT) guys.

So I guess I am a little spoiled due to all the free ammo and range time. I actually get paid to go shoot...

Welcome.
To best appreciate this site you must be prepared to being sucked in to some more guns purchases. And some ammo. A chrony. Possibly some reloading stuff if you don't already roll your own and then maybe......

Which is all a good thing.
