Hi All,

Was wondering about reducing the trigger pull on a 336. I saw in my Wolff Gunspring cat. that they offer a reduced pull spring (for cowboy action).... would this be suitable for target and hunting purposes??

The factory trigger isn't all that bad actually.

Best,

The Wolff Spring should work fine for all your purposes. Joe:rolleyes:

Another option is the Wild West Guns drop-in replacement trigger. I believe they call it their "Trigger Happy Kit".

It will reduce the pull to a crisp 2.5-3 lbs and will also eliminate the infamous Marlin trigger flop.

The claims are impressive, but I've got one and everyone else I've heard from who has one confirms that it performs as advertised.

Another option is to have a trigger and/or action job done by a competent gunsmith. I've had three Marlins and a Winchester '94 done at Clark Custom Guns in Princeton, Louisiana (tel. (318) 949-9884). They did a great job at a reasonable price.
