Why is the Sig 239 so much less expensive than most other Sig's? Is the quality the same as the others or are the manufactured by monks in Bangladesh? :D

Probably because the slide, frame, and barrel are made at SIGARMS' plant in the US. I have a P239 and P229, and the P229's frame clearly says that it is made in Germany. My P239 doesn't have such writing on its frame. As far as quality goes, I cannot see a difference. Do not let this deter from getting a P239.

I have a P239, in 9mm. High quailty, never failed, tack driver.

The Sig Sauer part is two fold if you don't know. Sig= is a Swiss Co., Sauer= a German Co.

It's a fantastic handgun.

The 239/357 is currently my favorite handgun; 100% reliable and accurate. Its finish machine-work is significantly better than my German made 220.

You might want to think about adding a pair of Hogue rubber grips. I put a pair on my P239 and I can't believe the improvement. Excellent gun.

I own 8 SIG's, three of which are P239's. Don't speak too loudly about the very affordable price of the 239...SIG might be listening:) P239? My favorite of the entire outstanding SIG-Sauer lineup!

The Sig 239 is an great pistol. You get quality, accuracy and a fairly reasonable price. That being said. . .I still like the 225 better; the 225 just feels better in my hand. IMO. :D
