Mossberg Magazine disconnect button a la a benelli nova retrofit

Would it be possible to retrofit a benelli nova esque magazine disconnect button to a mossberg or remington pump shotgun?

Probably, but why? For "Serious" shotgunning, it's just another complication when one needs to simplify...

Sure you could. But like everything else, it's a matter of how much money you want to spend.
It isn't just switching furnature... it would require some re-enginering.
Not worth the effort.
I find the button on my Nova helpful, but slow to use and hard to "find" while moving quickly and looking for the button by touch while keeping my eyes on the target.

it'd probably only require changing out the forend/action arm assembly, since the action arms control which part moves at what time during the rearward stroke. a button that moves the part that moves the shell latch out out of engagement wouldn't bee to hard to make. i don't know how reliable it would be, though.
